Reduction, Precision, Character: High-End Editorial Shooting in the Leica Photo Studio

Fashion and editorial photographer Emilio Stolorz, together with Djamila Wick, developed a conceptually striking editorial shoot. The goal: a reduced, elegant visual language captivated by exact lines, targeted color accents, and a stylish homage to the Leica aesthetic.

For photographers and production teams planning complex editorials with a large ensemble, spatial logistics and technology are critical. In the Leica Photo Studio, the team found ideal production conditions for working with eleven models. Briese lighting technology offered absolute control over shadow gradients and color nuances, while tethered shooting with immediate monitor preview enabled quick decisions right on set. Thanks to the spacious studio area, styling, hair & make-up, and the shooting set could be kept perfectly separate. This created a highly professional workflow where the entire team could work efficiently, focused, and without lost time on achieving the perfect composition.

“The studio enabled us to work professionally from start to finish—exactly the environment required for a project like this. The lighting technology, space layout, and ability to review results immediately helped us execute every setup with precision. Even with a large team, everything ran seamlessly.” – Emilio Stolorz
