Towering mountain ranges, rugged rock faces and landscapes of breathtaking beauty: On Thursday, 10 December 2026, at 6:30 p.m., experienced Leica photographer Dr Robert Lamprecht will take his audience at the Ernst Leitz Museum on an extraordinary photographic journey. Under the title “Fascination of the Mountains – Presented with Leica Slide Projectors”, he combines stunning nature photography with the unique aesthetic of traditional slide projection.

The journey begins with the challenging ascent of the Watzmann via its legendary east face. From there, it continues through the dramatic mountain scenery of the Dolomites to the 3,905-metre summit of Ortler. In Switzerland, breathtaking views unfold across the majestic four-thousand-metre peaks of the Valais Alps and the world-famous Matterhorn. The journey concludes with the spectacular landscapes of the American West, featuring Antelope Canyon, Paria Canyon and the extraordinary rock formation known as “The Wave”.

What makes this evening truly special is not only the beauty of the landscapes, but also the way they are presented. Every photograph will be projected using original Leica Pradovit RT slide projectors. The slides reveal an unmistakable brilliance of colour, remarkable detail and exceptional sharpness, bringing the distinctive character of analogue photography vividly to life.

At the same time, the presentation pays tribute to the art of traditional photography – an era when every image required careful consideration and light, exposure and composition had to come together perfectly at the moment the shutter was released. Through his exceptional selection of images and decades of experience, Dr Robert Lamprecht invites the audience to rediscover both the beauty of our planet and the enduring fascination of analogue photography.

A special evening for mountain enthusiasts, nature lovers and everyone captivated by the unique magic of traditional slide projection.

The presentation takes place on Thursday, 10 December 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at the Ernst Leitz Museum in Wetzlar. Tickets cost €10 per person.
