“Light Meets Line”: Smartphone Workshop
26.09.26 - 26.09.26 12:00 - 18:00-
When sleek curves meet captivating perspectives and light reflects off the paintwork, an image is created—and often gives you goosebumps. This exclusive smartphone photography workshop brings together technology, design, and creativity in a truly unique way.
The event begins at 12:00 p.m. at Leica Welt in Wetzlar, where, following a visit to the Ernst Leitz Museum, you’ll be introduced to the basics of image composition under the guidance of an experienced photographer and expert in smartphone photography. You’ll learn how to play with light, frame subjects, use composition effectively, and achieve impressive results with your smartphone—even without prior experience.
In the afternoon, we’ll move on to the second highlight of the day: the National Automobile Museum – The Loh Collection. This is where every car enthusiast’s heart beats faster—and from a photographic perspective, there’s hardly a more inspiring place. Over 150 vehicles spanning more than 130 years of automotive history are waiting to be rediscovered through your lens. Whether it’s gleaming details, iconic design, or artful lines: with your smartphone, you’ll capture emotion, technology, and aesthetics in equal measure. An exclusive guided tour of the exhibition provides fascinating background information and encourages you to approach image composition with a conscious eye.
All you need to bring is a fully charged smartphone and a willingness to try something new. Participation costs 99 euros and includes the workshop, admission to Leica Welt and the Automuseum (including the special exhibition and a guided tour of the Automuseum), as well as snacks and drinks. You’ll need to make your own way between the two venues.
Look forward to a day full of new perspectives—spanning iconic design, photographic creativity, and the fascination with the perfect image.
