Visitor Information: Updates at the Leica Headquarters from 15 January 2026

19.12.25

From 15 January 2026, the Leica Headquarters will be undergoing a major construction project, bringing temporary adjustments to the visitor areas.

As part of these works, several exhibition areas will be temporarily unavailable, including:

  • the permanent exhibition “36×100” featuring iconic Leica images

  • the Milestones of Product History

  • the Leica Sport Optics exhibition “17×100”

Many highlights will, however, remain fully accessible:

The production tour with insights into manufacturing as well as the camera family tree can be visited as usual. Guided tours will continue to take place and will be adapted to ensure engaging experiences throughout the construction period. On-site signage will guide visitors to an alternative entrance.

The temporary restrictions have no impact on the exhibitions at the Leica Gallery Wetzlar. The Ernst Leitz Museum also remains fully accessible without any limitations.

As the construction timeline is open-ended, a precise completion date cannot be provided at this time.

A visit to the Leica World is still well worth it – offering inspiring exhibitions, guided tours, and diverse insights into the world of photography.
